Displacing Older Power Plants
New England currently relies on older, less efficient power plants to keep up with the region’s energy demand. By adding more than 900 megawatts of clean energy to the local grid, Clear River Energy Center will displace those outdated suppliers and reduce New England’s carbon emissions by hundreds of thousands of tons each year. That's equal to taking 124,000 cars off the road each year.
The Clear River Energy Center will use state-of-the-art emissions control technologies, making the facility among the cleanest natural gas plants in the country.
